Welcome to another posting of In a Word, a weekly recap of the week's major stories (each major story in one word).
We have officially entered NFL withdrawal. I'm already missing NFL games and can't wait for the 2016 NFL season to start.
We still had some interesting stories that included an athlete that is a cheater (for the third time), an alleged assaulter and an alleged racist.
The athlete that deserves to be banned for life is Delmon Young. This guy allegedly hates Jews and now it looks like he hates Cubans. The guy has a history of bigoted behavior followed by alleged attacks. Let's hope MLB bans this guy.
The highlight of the week so far for me was the All-Star game's slam dunk competition that was won by Zach LaVine of the Minnesota Timberwolves! That was a great competition.
Let's get to the recap - In a word of course.
(NFL) Eli Manning - Seriously?

(MLB) Delmon Young – Racist
