So what event are we focusing on today?

1985 - Super Bowl XIX Becomes the Most Watched Super Bowl in History

The San Francisco 49ers defeated the Miami Dolphins 38-16.

I still remember this day like it happened yesterday and the outcome of the game still pains me!

I grew up loving the Dolphins and I was a huge Dan Marino fan. I was really upset that the Dolphins lost, even though in my heart of hearts I knew the 49ers led by Joe Montana would be too much for Miami to handle.

What I didn't expect to happen was that this would be Dan Marino's only Super Bowl appearance and that he wouldn't win a Super Bowl. I still look back at that game and wish that Marino had won the game.

I guess one can't be too upset that their team lost in the Super Bowl to one of the greatest NFL teams in the history of the game.
