2014 NFL Picks - Week #3

Andrew Luck Autographed Photograph - 8x10I have to take a deep breath after the last couple of weeks from all the scandals and NFL bungles regarding those scandals. There's definitely been a lot to consume and sift through.

I just want to get to football and my weekly picks. Let's hope that the NFL can get its house in order and do the right thing when it comes to domestic and child abuse.

Thursday Night Special - Tampa Bay Buccaneers (0-2) at Atlanta Falcons (1-1)
Some experts believed that this would be a good year for Tampa Bay. I didn't think things would be much different than last year.

The Bucs are a terrible team that's in need of a victory and they have to get it on the road against a divisional opponent.

I think that Atlanta will walk all over the Bucs in this one. Atlanta fans? You might be able to change the channel after the first half of this game.

Atlanta wins 27-6.

Snoozer of the Week - Dallas Cowboys (1-1) at St. Louis Cardinals (1-1)
This is a battle between two bad teams. I'm not jumping on the either team's bandwagon because they won this week. I think this week will show us that both teams are not playoff contenders.

Dallas will win but Tony Romo will not be brilliant.

Dallas wins a boring game 13-10.

Wild Card of the Week - San Diego Chargers (1-1) at Buffalo Bills (2-0)
I'm not sold on the Chargers at this time. They may have potential but I think that they are an 8-8 team.

I'm also not sold on the Buffalo Bills. Sure they're 2-0 and but it's hard to gauge how good the Dolphins and the Bears are.

This game is a toss-up and I give the edge to the Chargers.

San Diego wins 21-20.

Upset in the Making of the Week - Houston Texans (2-0) at New York Giants (0-2)
So the Texans have beaten the Raiders and the Washington Football team to start the season. Woohoo! Big deal.

The Giants have started 0-2 and have looked terrible. Eli Manning looks like he's should be the backup QB and not he starter for the Giants.

I'm sure most people believe that Houston will go 3-0. Not so fast. Eli will pick a good game out of his hat and will prevent the Giants from sinking even further into the depths of the NFL's cesspool.

New York wins 24-13.

Lock of the Week - Indianapolis Colts (0-2) at Jacksonville Jaguars (0-2)
I would hate to be the Jaguars this week. Andrew Luck and the Colts want to right their ship. They are angry at how they've started the season and may be upset how they were robbed of victory against the Eagles due to two atrocious calls at the end of the game on Monday Night.

The Jaguars are on their way to a 2-14 season and that's being generous. Win one will not come against the Colts.

Indianapolis wins 35-3.

Monday Night Football - Chicago Bears (1-1) at New York Jets (1-1)
Can someone call a darn timeout? New York might want to hold on to their timeouts so that they can blow another game tying TD.

Al kidding aside, I think the Jets will actually win this game. I think that the Bears are the worst team in the Snorris. They're not a good team.

New York wins 14-10.

Season totals:
W-7 L-5

Monday Night Football
Who will win Monday Night Football - Week 3?

Chicago Bears
New York Jets
