I'm not one to pay too much attention to Super bowl week. I'm sure that would be different if I was actually attending the game and partaking in the great events that a fan can partake in.
What I'm left with is reading/watching the boring media events and interviews and reading articles about players who are talking trash or not truly participating in media events. Yes, I'm referring to Richard Sherman and Marshanw Lynch.
While I'm not here to bash those players because I think more is made of their actions or inaction than needs to be made, the point I'm trying to make is that all this nonsense is pointless.
As far as I'm concerned it's a waste of a week. Just get to the game. Talk about the game and analyze the game that is to be played but talking about the best and worst commercials ever or the best half time shows ever? That should take 5 minutes not days and hundreds of articles.
Yes, I guess I'm interested enough to write about what I'm not interested in and I do read the articles about this fluff, watch the sports shows about this glitz and listen to sports radio about this nonsense. So I'm part of the problem.
I know that I'm putting down Super Bowl week and as I said before, if you are participating in the events at the Super Bowl, you're having a blast.
For someone like me stuck at home watching the big game and having to wait two weeks between games watching and reading meaningless information like this article regarding events surrounding the game, it doesn't do the trick or grab my undivided attention.
I'm not sure about you but this has been one of the more boring Super Bowl weeks that I can remember. That's a shame since this could be one of the greatest Super Bowl's ever.
