Minnesota Wild Out Chance the Anaheim Ducks but Lose in OT

Another Wild game is in the books and another books as is another loss and another point. On Thursday the Wild lost to the Los Angeles Kings in a shootout. Tonight they lost to the Anaheim Ducks in overtime. Like the game against the Kings, the Wild outplayed and out chanced the Ducks but they failed to outscore them.

Our stars played better tonight and superstar Zach Parise was the star of the game. He netted two goals and had many other chances. Jason Pominville also scored a goal and had an assist. Miko Koivu.had one assist. So it was the top line that did the damage tonight.

The problem for the wild is that they can't get both their first and second lines contributing in the same game. In game number one it was the second line that did all the damage for the Wild.

I think Wild fans need to get used to witnessing a team that plays better than their opponents but are unable to earn the W. This happens year in and year out. The Wild are great at out chancing their opponents. They suck at outscoring them

Fox Sports North Analysts seem to be ecstatic with the showing by the Wild. They are happy with how they've dominated both games. Who cares about dominating your opponent? The Kings were outplayed by the Wild and won the game. The Ducks were outplayed by the Wild and won the game.

As a Wild fan I would be much happier having two Wild wins even if they were outplayed. The Wild are awesome at making their opposing goalie look like a future Hall of Famer.

Tonight's game was particularly upsetting to me. With five seconds left in Overtime, the Wild decided to get sloppy on defense and Anaheim scored the game winner. It was a pathetic end to an otherwise good game by Minnesota.

I will sign off now. I'm too mad to continue and I don't want to go on a tirade like I did after Thursday night's Wild game.

Hopefully the Wild can put it all together and earn a victory in game #3. Go Wild Go!
