Colin Kaepernick and the 49ers Fried Some Cheese Tonight

Article written by Sportmentary - Editor in Chief Sportmentary Online Sports Talk
Colin Kaepernick and company fried some Green Bay cheese tonight as the San Francisco 49ers beat up on the Green Bay Packers 45-31. The Packers defense had no answer to Kaeprnick. All night long, Kaeprnick ran the ball down the throats of the Packers defense. Kapernick faked them out at will.

Colin Kaepernick ran the ball for 183 yards on 14 carries and had two touchdowns (TDs). Frank Gore also ran down the throats of the Packers running for 119 yards and one touchdown. When Kaeprnick and Gore weren't running the ball, Colin Kaepernick was throwing the ball to Michael Crabtree et al. Kaeprnick finished the game 17 for 31 for 263 yards and 2 TDs passing.

Michael Crabtree deserves a lot of credit. He was the go to man for Colin Kapernick in the passing game. He had 119 yards receiving and two touchdowns.

What a night for Colin Kapernick. It was his playoffs coming out party. He made his coach Jim Harbaugh proud. I have to apologize to coach Harbaugh. I've ridiculed Harbaugh for his decision to make Kaepernick his QB over Alex Smith. It worked out well and Kaepernick played well in his first NFL playoff game. Harbaugh is definitely looking like a genius tonight.

Kapernick is a dynamic player who gave the 49ers tons of options. He can throw the ball well and he's extremely mobile. That extends plays and drives. It's his rushing ability that set him apart on Saturday night. Colin Kaepernick rushed for more yards in a game than any other quarterback int he history of the NFL.

On the other side of the ball, the 49ers defense played a very good second half. They stopped Aaron Rodgers and rendered him useless. The Packers couldn't move the ball all night especially in the second half.
Rodgers finished the game 26 for 39 with 257 yards and 2 TDs. He also threw one interception

Rodgers got some of his yards in garbage time on his last drive. His second TD was also in garbage time after a bogus pass interference call by an idiotic referee.

Aaron Rodgers couldn’t answer what  Colin Kaepernick was doing. He looked dazed and confused out there. He looked like a deer in headlights. That was awesome to see. Cheese fans won't be obnoxious tonight. No they won't.

The Green bay defense that many thought had improved from last year looked horrible tonight. They had no answers. They allowed a quarterback who was playing his first playoff game to look like a future Hall of Famer. It was beautiful to see the awful Packers defense collapse. They fell flat on their faces tonight.

This was a beautiful game. It was extremely enjoyable. The Packers made it a game in the first half but decided rest up like Sleeping Beauty in the second half. It was total Packers team collapse on Saturday. At the end of the game I couldn't stop laughing. This is the Packers I love to watch and cheer against.

I love seeing Packers cheese being fried on the field. I not only like to see them lose. I love to see them get throttled and that definitely happened tonight.

This is the second straight year that the Packers have given me what I wanted to see from them in the playoffs  They were shown the exit without even making the NFC Championship game. Hopefully this is the type of result that we can enjoy watching for years to come.
