Rob Parker Is An Idiot Because Of His RG3 Comments

Update: See bottom of article.
Rob Parker who contributes to ESPN is an idiot and today's Fool of the Day. Parker made racially heated comments regarding RG3 on ESPN's First take. He asked if RG3 is "a brother...or a cornball brother...he's not one of us". Parker seems to be upset that RG3 has a white wife. Who the heck cares about that?

How dare Parker even bring these things up? How dare he question if RG3 is black enough or not. That has nothing to do with the show and should have no place in our society. It's ridiculous and extremely offensive. First Take is a sports show not a political show or a show of racists. Parker is a bigot. He might be black but that doesn't mean he can't be a bigot.

ESPN fired Rush Limbaugh for making racially heated comments that many believed were racist. There's no question that Parker's comments are racially insensitive. I am extremely offended that RG3 would be criticized in this manner.

RG3 is great athlete and he has the potential to be a great quarterback. That's all that should matter when talking about him as a football player. Hopefully we will be able to talk about him being a good man, a good role model and a good citizen. The color of his fiancĂ©’s skin shouldn't matter. Who he is going to marry shouldn't matter. The color of his fiancĂ©’s skin shouldn't matter. His political affiliations shouldn't matter.

Shame on ESPN for having a bigot and fool like Parker on their network. I hope that ESPN takes quick and swift action and fires this moron. If they don't, they would be hypocrites. There should be no place on ESPN for Parker. Let him take his act somewhere else.

I woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. So I was already a little grumpy. After listening to the dribble that came out of Parker's mouth I'm a lot grumpy. I'm beside myself. I'm not naive. I do know that there are bigots out their but when I hear comments like that it makes me so mad. Thankfully I have an outlet where I can vent.

When I see RG3, I see a talented young man with huge potential. I see a guy that along with Russell Wilson and Andrew Luck might be part of an elite quarterback crew from the NFL draft class of 2012. I see a guy who has the potential to rewrite the record books and I see a young man who will hopefully have the chance of lifting the Vince Lombardi Trophy. I see a young man with the potential of being a great person. That's what I see when I see RG3.

Update: 10:30 01/08/2013 - ESPN announced that it will not renew Rob Parker's contract. That's the right decision and hopefully sends a message that this type of behavior will not be tolerated.
