Fool of the Day - Rex Ryan

So Rex Ryan didn't win Sportmnetary's Turkey Day award but he is being named today's fool of the day. Congratulations Rex. Is Rex being named today's fool because of his team's extraordinary collapse against the New England Patriots on Thursday night? No. Is he being named today's fool because of what he said in his postgame press conference that Sanchez still gave him the best chance to win (Source: ESPN Television)? No.

Then why is Rex Ryan being named the Fool of the Day? There are two reasons.

Reason #1 - Being Stupid
Even after it was revealed that Tebow sustained a rib injury over 10 days ago, Ryan claims Tebow could have played if it was necessary. He was defending his decision to activate Tebow for Thursday's game.
Tebow Could have played? Did Rex really say that. Take a look at his quote from Friday morning:

"He absolutely, 100 percent could've played in that game"

What? After the game Tebow was playing catch with a youngster and had to use his right hand to throw the ball (he is right handed). Rex you are an idiot. This is beyond moronic. Rex is showing his incompetence. He is showing that he doesn't deserve to be a head coach in the NFL.

Reason #2 - Acting Clueless
In his postgame press conference, Rex Ryan also claims he didn't know about the injury and it was only diagnosed on Wednesday, 10 days after the injury occurred. Rex, you're kidding, right? It doesn't matter if he's kidding or not. It doesn't matter if he's playing dumb or really dumb. Ryan is acting like a clueless person. That's not good enough for New York City.

The reasons above are why Rex Ryan is being named as today's fool. Congratulations again Rex. You did it. You finally made the list. Keep up the bad work.

Side note: Rex guaranteed New York City a championship and he hasn't delivered. The big mouth should have just kept his yap shut. He's looking like a clown. He's acting like a buffoon.
