Daily Honor Roll - September 2nd, 2012

Today we find a man who's being honored for the second time this week. Today's honoree is Any Roddick who announced that he will be retiring after the US Open Tennis Championship. This is also the second time that Roddick extended his career this week.

Sportmentary is cheering for Andy and hoping that he pulls off a miracle. It would be awesome to see him win the US Open to end his career. What a moment that would be and it would be a fitting end to a tennis player who's given a lot to the sport.

Although Andy won the match in 4 sets (7-5, 7-6, 4-6, 6-4), it was tough match for him. It doesn't get any easier for Andy going forward.

Roddick faces Jaun Martin de Potro in the 4th round. This will be a tough test for Roddick as del Potro is seeded 7th. If Roddick wins the match, the place will go crazy.
