Brian "I'm a Numbnut" Burke

Brian "I'm a Numbnut" Burke who is the President of the Toronto Maple Laughs hockey team should learn when to keep his dumb feelings to himself. It's being reported that he approached the NHL to force Canadian hockey icon, Don Cherry off the air.

Don Cherry is controversial and opinionated but he's an institution on CBC's Hockey Night in Canada intermissions. Fans have grown up with Cherry. Many of us look forward to NHL intermissions on CBC, so we can hear what Cherry will come up with. He's extremely entertaining.

You never know what you're going to get from the Canadian homer. His attire is lavish and crazy and his opinions are just as colorful. I don't agree with everything he has to say but that doesn't matter. He's extremely entertaining and will put a smile on your face.

Burke is a moron. Why would you want to force Cherry off the air? He's good entertainment. Is Burke upset that Cherry probably criticizes Burke's Toronto Maple Leafs? Probably. Burke probably can't take any criticism, so he wants to force Cherry of the air. Burke is responsible for icing a garbage product and a perennial loser.

That's not Cherry's fault. That's Burke's fault. He should be fired if the Laughs miss the playoffs. That would hopefully shut this guy up. Burke's backstabbing of Cherry is disgusting and gutless but what would you expect from a Maple Leafs executive. It's a gutless organization. So he fits in well there.

Don Cherry might be opinionated but he's a big fan of Canadian hockey. He's always been a big supporter of the small market Canadian teams. When the first edition of the Winnipeg Jets were sold to a group taking the team to Arizona, Cherry spoke out publicly on Hockey Night in Canada in support of Winnipeg.

It would be sad if the NHL listened to the clown named Burke. Hopefully the NHL has more sense than that and realizes that Brian Burke is numbnut.
