Iron Man Style the Romo Way

It was only last week that I wrote that Tony Romo couldn't produce when it counted.  When you're proven wrong, you need to admit it.  While we don't have a crystal ball into Romo's future this past week did prove me wrong.

Tony Romo played like and NFL Iron Man.  Romo produced most of his 345 yards of passing offense after he was injured with a fractured rib and what we now know is a punctured lung as well.  He briefly left the game to return to lead the Cowboys to an OT win.

Are you kidding me?  That's being a winner.  It was a pressure situation, his team down and he not only led his team to victory but played with a fractured lung.  Romo did what many other players wouldn't be able to do.  He played hurt and was productive.

Romo needs to be congratulated for hsi performance.  thsi was needed as he played poorly at the end of last week's game agaisnt the Jets.  Hopefully this is the real Romo. Hopefully this is the winning Romo.

Romo now has to string together a bunch of wins and lead his team to the playoffs and then he needs to win a couple of games in the post-season.  If Romo can accomplish that, his confidence will improve and fans will start to see him as a winner and not a choker.

Romo's performance is what I had expected from Romo early in his career.  He never produced the way I wanted and I came to expect him to wilt like a flower when the game was on the line.  Now Romo showed another side of his game and his character.  Romo's future might have him likened to and NFL Iron Man.  We'll have to see what happens.
