Feds Seem to Have Boat Loads of Cash

It seems as if federal prosecutors have boat loads of cash.  That's nice to know, since this country is struggling in one of the worst economies in its history.

Federal prosecutors are arguing they should be allowed to retry Roger Clemens and that their showing of a video tape and evidence prohibited by the judge was an oversight.

The judge ruled for a mistrial after the evidence was shown and basically called the prosecutors incompetent.  These were seasoned prosecutors and they should have known better.  The Feds have spent millions of my and your hard earned dollars.  Now they want to retry the case and spend more of our money?

While I do think Clemens is guilty, I think the prosecutors had  their day and failed miserably.  They shouldn't be allowed the chance to have a second shot at this.  It's an outrage in the first place that they messed up the way they did.  Let's not spend any more money on this fiasco.

While retrying Roger Clemens might not be double jeopardy, it's unfair to try him again.  I'll say it again.  The prosecutors messed up and failed.  They were incompetent.  The feds shouldn't have multiple cracks at trying to win a case.  Federal prosecutors have a wealth of resources and should get it right the first time.  It's a waste of our money for them to retry this case.
